Adventure Racing is beyond a passion or a past time, it is a way of life.
The Mongrels discovered very early on that even if we try, the
more we race, the more we obsess about Adventure Racing.
This website is dedicated to the generously understanding
spouses and other significant others that by default have become
Mongrels Adventure Racing victims.
Adventure Racing has a tendency
to take over living rooms, garages and in some cases bedrooms
with gear. Adventure Racing vacations, shopping
trips, television
viewing and movies become a staple in most of our homes ...
thank you to our Mongrels family for putting up with it all.

the team is going to the Lone Star Rogaine Championship (updates
on that race and the other races we've done this year to follow)

We have a had a pretty quiet presence online lately
... Richard was in the hospital for a couple of weeks and won't
be able to return to racing for another four months ... so
website updating has been lacking
In the meantime, The Mongrels have competed in a couple of races
that will be online soon, and a few of our team members are heading to The
Berryman 36 Hour race this weekend ... good luck to Nancy, Chip,
Damon and Mark (borrowed from our friends on the GCAR team)

The Mongrels had a great showing at the
Rock Stick
Challenge ... winning the 4-person coed category and
the overall first finish ... 1 hour and 17 minutes ahead of

contingency in the Hill Country
