As a Racer:
Richard is the team captain and primary navigator ... he has a
general obsessive personality, which translates to thoroughly
thought out strategies and preparations ... often beyond what is
necessary and probably even good for the team
When He's Not Racing:
In an effort to pay for his racing addiction, Richard has
had to take a job ... and currently that job is as a strategist
for an interactive marketing agency. If he didn't have to
work for money, he'd start his own home automation design /
installer business

Before He Was A Mongrel:
Richard crewed for Hamilton College and ran the
quarter mile at the Div III state championship level ... but
more relevant to his adventure racing, he was issued that
standard outdoor gene that every Norwegian gets when they are
born ... he grew up
Orienteering, Hiking, Cross-Country skiing and spent the better
part of his military service mapping out a tactical mobile
communications network while in the Norwegian Signal Corps
What He Doesn't Want You To Know:
He has a rather weird fascination for eating while
in the shower ... there will invariably be a bag of m&m's and a
bag of potato chips in his bathroom at home, in his own words:
"m&m's ... good, chips ... good, shower ... good, ... what's
there not to like??"
