The Skinny:
At the time, probably one of the most challenging 24 hour anyone of us
had ever done (and for a couple ... the first 24 hour)
Who Raced:
Nicol Rodgers, Sarah Brown, Paul Thibodeaux and Richard
Jensrud
Favorite Part:
The rappel off of "Baldy Point" was awesome ... especially
since Texas and Oklahoma doesn't exactly have an overabundance
of tall slick rock surfaces to jump off of
Least Favorite Part:
I don't think anyone of us will jump at the chance to do the
beach bike ride again ... I'm thinking it was a 9 mile ride in
the wonderfully soft sand that would at least have been soft to
land in every time we fell off our bikes ... except those
freaking
cockaburrs
Funniest Moment:
Probably the conversation at 3am in the middle of a 6 hour
hike through the Quartz Mountain boulders ... nobody on the team
will be quite the same after an intimate introduction to
Richard's grooming habits
