The Skinny:
A
fun little race, that a few of us decided to do in an effort
to support our only DFW Metroplex based race promoters (check
them out at www.teamxperience.com)... which
turned into a great race, where we pushed ourselves harder and
faster than we might've ever done before
Who Raced:
Scott Ash,
Chip Lynch, Wendy Strain and
Richard Jensrud
Favorite Part:
We looked around a little for the first CP on the kayak/trek
leg and it seemed like every team caught up with us and ruined
any position we might've created for ourselves after the trail
run ... however, we then proceeded to hit the next two trekking
points fast and without any hesitation ... leading us to depart
in our kayaks for the next trekking section way ahead of any
team behind us ... this is the lead we maintained through the
end
Least Favorite Part:
"The leaning canoe" ... Wendy and Richard ended up in a
canoe that insisted on leaning severely to the right ... I think
we were both sitting on the left railing of the boat, and the
canoe was still tipping right ... made for a rather unproductive
paddling effort
Funniest Moment:
